I have teaching experience after I graduated my Form6(Home Tutiton) while I'm was waiting for the local unviersity intake results. Frankly not much experience though but I'm always have the thirst and passionate to learn. Thanks!!

 

As a tutor when I first meet a potential student, I always start by doing a diagnosis based on his/her skills. Practice makes perfect as te saying goes. I perfer to create a short test for my students so that they can determine what they have mastered, what they may need to review and what they don't yet know at all. I also used to check my students' old worksheets, notebooks, quizzes and tests so I can get a better sense of what they know as well as their study habits, note-taking skills, learning styles and test taking ability.

While pointing out weaknesses may be vital, it's also important to motivate students by showing their strengths as well. Therefore I prefer the students not only listen quietly and busy making notes but also contribute thier ideas or thoughts in the class.
